The Hero's Journey

The hero's journey, this concept that this is the most important journey that we'll take in our entire lives, a journey of self-discovery, a journey of discovering the gifts that we're born with and then bringing them back to the world.

So the idea is we live in the world of ordinary and at some point in our lives we get a call to adventure or a call to action right the phone is ringing and this is fascinating because it's said that the phone is ringing but for a long time we don't pick it up.

We are aware of our own greatness and what we're here to do yet we don't want to answer the phone because it scares us and at some point in our lives we finally do.

We answer the phone and the moment that we do we cross the threshold from the world of ordinary into the world of extraordinary.

And it's through this world that we start going through the struggles, we start going through the hardest time. We have to remove people and situations from our lives that aren't serving us, we start to find out who our true allies, who the people on our side really are and we go into this abyss to discover our gifts and this is the best part.

That's not where the journey ends, in fact you're only halfway there.

Once you've discovered the gifts now you come back out, the hero's journey is cyclical. You come out of the world of extraordinary back into the world of ordinary.

Now with your gifts in hand you've discovered who you are and what you're here to do and now you're ready to give it to the world and this is the hero's journey.

The hero's journey continues to repeat itself in this cyclical way, we continue to go through the process of discovery, who we are, what we're here to do, bring that back to the world and we do that for the rest of our lives.

The most important journey that we will ever take and continue to take in our lives. That's a pretty cool concept.
